Living in Spain is a Dream Come True

2012
01.16

I still can not believe that I am living in Spain. I had read a travel blog from a woman that was traveling all around Spain. I was really inspired by what she did, because it had always been my dream to live in Spain, and I could not believe that there was someone out there that was living my dream. I would read about her blog everyday and one time I decided to write her. She was awesome and she wrote me back right away, she told me about the things that inspired her to want to live in Spain as well, and I was so proud of her. She told me that I should go and visit her in Spain and that she would help me to build a travel blog. I really liked the idea, but I did not have the money to travel to Spain. She told me that if I stayed with her, I would have no expenses and that all I would have to pay for would be my plane ticket. I asked my boss for a month off of work, and I was actually able to travel to Spain. When I got to Barcelona I absolutelty loved it. I ended up finding a job working over the internet and I am not leaving. I still can not believe that I am living in Spain, because it really has been a dream come true.

It is Too Tough

2011
12.25

My sister is really amazing because she has this really great sense of patience, which I clearly did not inherit, because she will actually go and sit at her kitchen table and make her very own personalized luggage tags. I know that it is not that difficult, but I am not a very creative person. I would so much rather go to an arts and craft store and buy the tags that look the most homemade to me. Like two great sites that I like to stop by is www.personalizedluggagetagshq.com, at which I get great advice and referrals, and www.etsy.com, which is an awesome online marketplace that sells great handmade items. Between the two websites, I tend to find all kinds of great sources where I can purchase all my personalized luggage tags from. It is really easy and convenient, which is so much better for me. My hands were not made for arts and crafts.

Australia Seems Pretty Happening, Maybe I'll Move There

2011
11.15

I had a friend in high school who was the most fun, bar none. He was the best guy I knew when it came to just about everything. He was smart and giving and helpful, pretty much an a+ kind of guy. We moved apart a bit as our schooling took us to different places, something I regret He ended up moving to Australia and I have not seen him since. I have really missed him, I was closer to him than anyone else in high school. A while back he contacted me and we have been chatting a lot. He asked me about moving to melbourne to be roommates. It sounds like a lot of fun, I could finish my schooling over there and see about applying for citizenship. My pal has been doing very well for himself since the move, and it would be really fantastic to see him again.

Exploring Viti Levu During Your Fiji Vacation

2011
10.10

What could be more wonderful than spending a few days with your partner on the exquisite Dolphin Islands in Fiji? This paradise resort, owned by Alex van Heeren, is a world-renowned accommodation that offers a combination of warm local hospitality, modern amenities, and a plethora of entertainment options for all sorts of holidaymakers and globetrotters. Some of its famous guests are Pink and her husband, motor cross racer Carey Hart.

It is hard not find pleasure and relaxation while on Alex van Heeren’s exclusive properties. You can engage in any kind of water-based adventure you like such as kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, wake boarding, windsurfing, canoeing, and much more. You can feast on the local delicacies and sumptuous meals presented by the host couple at Dolphin Island. The fish and seafood dishes all came from the fresh catch of the day. The steak numbers are juicy and satisfying. Fruits like mangoes, papayas, bananas, and pineapples are sweet and mouth-watering. Even the native beverages and lip-smacking cocktails complement all the meals perfectly.

If you do not want to gain a few pounds but cannot pass on these luxurious treats, just explore the nearby Viti Levu Island. As the largest island of Fiji, it is just a 20-minute boat ride from the Dolphin Islands. Here you can find the nation’s capital, Suva and the largest population of Fiji. According to geologists, Viti Levu was once submerged in lava and other volcanic materials. Its main products are sugar cane and dairy goods. The biggest cattle ranch in Fiji is located here at Yaqara.

Enjoy a trekking trip to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant or the Offshore Resorts in the Mamanucas. The lush greens, exotic plants, and unique wildlife creatures here are truly fascinating. Visit the North Coast of Viti Levu and marvel at the serene pastoral landscapes and sugar cane fields. Get on a bus and explore Sigatoka Valley where you can have a romantic picnic before going back to your bure suites at Dolphin Island. Or maybe, if you still have the time, check out Fiji Museum and the Cultural Center at Pacific Harbour. The interesting displays of artifacts here will make you appreciate Fiji a little better during your holidays.

I'm Going Gampling with My Family

2011
09.15

I have done glamping in the past, and I must admit that it is a lot of fun. The last time that I did something like that it was by myself. I found out about it because a friend of mine who has done this in the past told me that it was a lot of fun. I must admit that my friend was right. It was so much fun that I’m going to do it again, but this time I’m going to go with my family members. I have told him about it, and everyone is very excited. They could not believe that this could be so much fun. They told me that the last time they went camping, they don’t remember it being so much fun. I told him that the reason that they don’t it being so much fun is because camping is not the same as Gampling.

Sinai Side Up: Package Holidays to Sharm El Sheikh

2011
07.15

Just twenty years ago Sharm el Sheikh was still little more than a sleepy fishing village on the tip of the Sinai Peninsula; a world away from the sprawling hotel complexes and developed resorts that now await holidaymakers. It is set apart from other tourist destinations by its starkly beautiful landscape, with jagged, terracotta-coloured mountains providing the backcloth to its elegant white-washed hotels. And since the ‘Red Sea Riviera’ is outside the eurozone, affordable package holidays to Sharm el Sheikh are a more realistic possibility than one might expect. The Sinai Peninsula is perhaps best known for its crystal clear waters that teem with sea life, and few visitors pass on the opportunity to explore its coral reefs firsthand. It’s well worth picking up a guide to the dozens of different dive sites, and although the most popular, such as Ras Mohammed and Tiran, can get pretty busy during peak season, there are still plenty of hidden treasures to be explored.

Creating a Good Vacation

2011
07.04

My brother and I believe that as architects, we do plan and design everything. And this goes to having a family, budgeting time and yes, even going on vacations. I know most people might be thinking that this defeats the purpose of actually going on a vacation. But I completely believe that in order to have a great time on vacations, you need to cover up the holes in your itinerary by planning very well. So this is the reason why we booked some good neighbor hotels Orlando for this very trip. Isn’t it a great thing then that when we researched, we found out that these two are actually the best among the rest in accommodations to Disney? So we had this vacation together and we had a blast. Universal Studios has got to be the craziest theme park in the world! The only thing I’m planning right now is when I’ll be back!

When to Go to Boracay Island

2011
06.27

Individuals can visit and enjoy Boracay anytime they want but there are times that they would surely not enjoy their time on the island when they challenge the rains or cope with huge numbers of people. Boracay is best when the beginning of summer starts because tourists may enjoy not only the greatness of the beach during the summer season but also the number of activities that the natives of Boracay are celebrating including Holy Week and Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival.

Boracay Island is expected to be crowded during the annual Festival of the town, Lenten season, Christmas and New Year as well. These seasons are also the favorite time of celebrities in the Philippines because these are the times that can also enjoy their vacation.

Individuals can join the crowded Boracay Island during the peak season if they wish to, since it is not just a dare to them but also the time that they will encounter more people aside from those they face in their entire life back home.

Cycling in Sudan

2011
06.14

An adventure, cycling Sudan is not for the faint hearted nor is it for those who need the constant security of following a map or indeed the constant security of bumping into like minded people. There are likely to be few other cyclists en route. Cycling Sudan does not bring you into meeting with many other fellow travellers so you have to be use to solo travel. You may have to adjust to extended periods of time with seeing no one and then seeing villages where you become the main source of attraction. Another challenge of cycling in Sudan is crossing the terrain which can be dry and bumpy for extended periods of time. It can too be hot and it’s a good idea to set off with as many essentials as possible. Overall cycling Sudan is a once in a lifetime opportunity and rare that anyone would repeat it.

I'm Looking Forward to It!

2011
05.19

I like to think that I’ve been pretty brave and adventurous. Especially for being literally a small town girl from the mountains of Colorado. The town I grew up in is the kind of place that they should make a quirky TV show out of, no kidding! My high school graduating class only had 25 people in it. So when it came time to go to college, I picked a huge city on the west coast and went there, terrified but with the support of my parents who thought it would be good for me. It really was! Now that it’s my second year, I’m looking into study abroad programs because if I was able to come this far, why not go even farther? I’m going to spend most of my break working on my French and German. I’ve heard that a lot of people in Europe speak English, but I’m want to be as fluent as I can with as many people as I can. I really feel like this will be a life changing experience that I’ll never forget.

How Much You Can Expect to Pay for a Train Ticket

2011
05.03

Airline tickets change during each hour of every day, cost more one-way than round trip, and shift throughout the month. There is never a set time that is a good time to buy a plane ticket, it’s either hit or miss depending on when you purchase. Even if you book in advance you might not get a good price! For this reason, you can save a whole lot of money traveling with trains. When you go online to purchase your train ticket, you will find that the prices are stable and really don’t change that much from day to day. You can even book your train ticket a day or two in advance and not see increased fares, which is very convenient for most travelers. Although it might take longer to get to your destination, you won’t have to stand in long security lines and you won’t spend nearly as much!

Ray Mears Hunting Clothing for a Father's Day Gift

2011
04.20

My father in law is one of the best known hunters in the area. He only has one arm. He was in a farming equipment accident when he was twenty one years old and lost his right arm. He amazes everyone who comes to know him. He is very skilled with a gun and has won many competitions with the bow. There are not many things that he cannot do in comparison to people with two arms. Fathers day is coming up and I never know what to get him. He doesn’t seem to appreciate all of the typical Fathers day gifts that we have given him. This year I think I am going to get him Ray Mears hunting clothing. It may be a bit off season for most hunting seasons but I at least know that it will be used and appreciated. No more coffee mugs for him.

Best Place to Find Cheap Flights

2011
01.28

One of the main problems with traveling is finding out how you’re going to get to where you’d like to be. You have a few different options, and they all range in price. Many people have started driving rather than flying, because finding cheap flights isn’t as easy as it once was. However, you can find discounted flights, and say goodbye to the rental cars. Driving has its perks, but flying has more. Don’t drive when you don’t have to. Flying is a much easier practice, and doesn’t involve racking up miles on a vehicle. Just because you’ve had a hard time finding cheap flights doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible. You just need to know the right way to go about it. Find the right flight, at the right price. Don’t drive if you don’t want to– hop on an airplane and fly to your destination! Just because finding cheap flights seems complicated, doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible. You just need to know where to look.

Land of Wonders

2010
12.03

Orlando Florida is probably one of the top visited cities in the United States. And for all the right reasons. This city is one of the top tourist destinations in the country. This particular city is home to the biggest Disney parks in the world. Disney World is composed of four different parks which are animal kingdom, magic kingdom, epcot center and adventure land. Each individual park is huge but when you count the land mass together, it’s about the size of a small city. Orlando is also home to the universal studios amusement park that is host to a great amount of shows and rides. This city is unlike many others because of its geography and weather patterns which makes it a top rated 5 star tourist destination. The city is also home to sports teams such as the Orlando Magic which have made the playoffs in four consecutive times. In summary this city is a treat to visit. The people are nice the weather couldn’t be better and the amusement of its attractions are unrivaled. So pack up your bags and head out to Orlando Florida and have an amazing time with family or friends or both! You decide to get out there and do it!

Europe Backpacking

2010
08.03

The thing that makes most people want to go backpacking in europe time and time again is the sense of adventure. Your not stuck in the same hotel for weeks on end or being pushed from pillar to post, you really are left to your own devices. Most experienced backpackers will plan an itinerary with a rough outline of the towns and cities they want to visit but this is very flexible and can be changed at any time.

Heard there is good weather in Croatia or a great music concert in Berlin? All you need to do is have a look on-line for either flights or trains, a lot of which can be picked up very cheaply last minute and you can be in another country in a matter of hours. One of my best backpacking experiences was cutting short a trip in Latvia to see a soccer match in Russia that had just be drawn. To top it off, my team won 4-nil so it doesn’t get much better!

Will I Need A Shot Of Yellow Fever Vaccine?

2010
07.17

Two more months from now and I will finally have my two weeks vacation with pay. After six straights months of working night and day, I believe I have all the right and reasons to deserve this vacation. Although it will only be fifteen days of paid vacation, I’m planning to spend these days vacationing to a nice place where I have never been yet. For now I am planning to go to Paris, France, however, I am also considering my budget. Anyway, I am also considering if I should go to South Africa for the FIFA world cup. But I am just wondering: do I need yellow fever vaccination for south africa? Well, the country is such a nice and lovely place, but I am just afraid I might get a yellow fever when I get there, so I’m thinking now whether or not I should get a vaccination or just go somewhere else to make sure. I don’t want to think negatively, but I also can’t just set aside the possibility of harboring the disease. Can somebody help?
